Shear Beam Load Cells
Our shear beam load cells are ideal for a range of industrial weighing requirements. The 500 series shear beam load cells are robust, accurate and available in a range of capacities of 5kN, 10kN, and 20kN. The 520 series is our range of hermetically sealed, stainless steel shear beam in capacities of 500kg, 1t, 2t and 5t.
A shear beam load cell is the traditional load cell used for medium weighing applications. They are normally used in a group of 3 or 4 under silos, tanks, platforms, etc. Loads can also be suspended from below the load cell if mounted on framework. As a rule of thumb, for a four-load cell system, divide your maximum load by 2. This will give you the required load cell capacity.
