Cantilever beam load cells are the type of load cell found in small platforms, for measuring lighter loads. They are usually found in bench scales, money counting machines, part counting scales and in process weighing equipment.
A single cantilever beam load cell can be used under the center of a platform, for low capacity applications, or in a group around the edge for larger loads. They are also known as center cells or single point load cells.
The capacities of our Richmond Industries cantilever beam cells range from 2.5kg to 500kg. As a rule of thumb, for a 4 beam load cell system, divide your maximum load by 2 to give you the required load cell capacity.
